According to WHO, almost
50% death in Malaysia is as a result of
lifestyle diseases (
hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, cancer, obesity, etc). Lifestyle diseases are not only a negative impact to individual, family, working environment but also to the nation’s social-economic progress, which resulted from PERSONAL choices and preferences:
Physical inactivity, high fat/sugar intake, life stress, overweight, smoking, etc
Personal Health & Wellness form part of an essential long-term sustainability of an individual and viability of any businesses. Many
Health & Wellness programs have been proven to
reduce health care costs, absenteeism, poor work quality and
risky behaviours thus resulting in
improved productivity as well as
Health & Safety performance. Research has also shown that employees who are healthy (physical, emotional and spiritual) offer a positive capital resource ‘return-on-investment’ and they lead a safe, happy and positive life.
Health & Wellness programs don’t have to be limited to drugs, medicines, high-end nutrition, supplements and/or stress management techniques only. There are multitude of wellness approaches, exercises, healthy living styles and resources that are hardly practiced – we need a Mindset Change and go back to the basics we human are made off -
WATER and the natural therapeutic elements of the environment.
